Love this perspective! You can easily get frozen when trying to write ideas that will land with an audience vs. ideas that resonate with you.

Stephen King has a great concept from On Writing where he says to "write with the door closed" (write for yourself only) and then once you're done "edit/revise with the door open" (with the audience in mind). That ensures you start with pure inspiration but you also ground your work in what the audience wants to read.
