This is such an important article. I recently found another trick for when I swing outside my window of tolerance: Stop reading the news.

I used to start my morning by reading news from 5-10 different sources. By 7am each day, my mind got the message, "Everything in the world is falling apart." This added to my stress load and it didn't take long for me to feel overwhelmed by my other daily activities.

For the last 2 weeks, I haven't read a single news source, and it's been amazing. I'm less stressed, my focus is better, and I feel happier throughout the day. My news ban probably isn't sustainable over the long term, but it's a great short-term trick for stress relief.

Thanks so much for sharing, Michele!
